Every morning I find myself playing a game called "Race The Baby".
Originally it was called "Beat The Baby", until I said that out loud one morning.
"Let's Beat The Baby!" I said.
But that sounded bad, so I changed the name.
The game always takes place in the kitchen.
I start out clearing the counters as fast as I can, while my 11 month old starts taking things out of the Tupperware drawer as fast as he can.
After I'm finished, I start putting the Tupperware back, and he crawls around trying to find things to put in his mouth.
If I catch him about to put something in his mouth, I say "Henry!" and he crawls away as fast as he can, all while trying to shove the thing in his mouth.
I fish the item out, while he tries to bite me so he can keep it.
I set him down in the front room and race back to the kitchen where I start loading the dishwasher.
As soon as he figures out where I am, he crawls really fast into the kitchen and bellies up to the dishwasher so he can start unloading and tasting the dirty dishes.
By this time, I'm loading really fast, and taking things out of his hands and mouth.
(You have to have skills to do this.)
The goal is to finish loading before the baby can put anything on the floor.
When you're done, yell out "I beat the baby!"
and go wait for C.P.S. to come.
No, just kidding.
You give yourself a pat on the back for another race won.
Your prize is a nap...for the baby.
You didn't think you'd get a nap, did you?
Ha.

Hah, more like beat the full grown child. He grew so much!
My game is chase the two year old, and I always lose!
Dirty dishes taste so much better than clean ones.
My favorite game is when my 2yo unrolls the brand new roll of toilet paper and makes oragami with it. It makes my bathroom so purty.
Leilani- He starts high school next week.
Heff- Not looking forward to that game.
Stacey- I should leave chunks on the dishes, in case he gets hungry.
