Dill Pickles?
Yum!
Sunflower Seeds?
Yum!
Dill pickle sunflower seeds?
Why not?

Just think to yourself,
Dill pickle sunflower seeds?
Disgusting!"
and move on.
Trust me.
2. Letting your daughters buy sushi
(because it's Chinese New Year, don't you know)
and allowing them to eat it in the hot car,
packed with 7 people,
going through the "s curves"
while listening to "Landslide" by Stevie Nicks.
It's a very bad combo.
Trust me.
After a while, you just might hear,
"I feel seasick."

You have a hot car?
Really?
My stomach just kinda squished up reading that.

Just the smell of sushi would make me seasick. My oldest girl has been begging to try sushi for the longest time. I finally bought her some at the supermarket. She took two bites and that was enough for her! For Chinese New Year we went out for lunch to a Chinese restruarant and ordered cooked chicken.
I happen to be married to a man (aren't you glad I cleared that up!) who LOVES dill pickle sunflower seeds! YUCK! AND he even spends more than a dollar for them! I don't enjoy vehicle rides with him for that reason PLUS the fact that he listens to Meatloaf! Just shoot me now!! What can I say. . . he has no taste! (in women either!! lol)
Sushi... wow... you are a better mom than I am! :) I would have told them no way - at least you let them try it... that's a good thing - right?
Gross. On both.
Ditto to what Melissa said.
Eww.
Dill pickled whaa? I would have bought and tried them. I still might.
My ten year old tried and liked sushi, a few weeks ago. Not I said the momma.
She spelled it correctly in her school spelling bee too. I had to look and see how you spelled it...:S
You know, the name "Spitz" probably says it all. Gross.
I'm both curious and gagging on what transpired in your vehicle after the sickness declaration.
The boys at work like those Dill Pickle Sunflower Seeds. They like taking drugs, too. I'll pass. But I will eat Dill Pickle Lays chips. Just don't leave me with the whole bag. I'm bad. I know it.
Thankfully my kids wouldn't ask for sushi, so if my car was hot I wouldn't hear I'm seasick from the back;) Hee heee heheheheheeeeee!
Reading #2 made me feel kinda...
umm...
ewww.
And I like sushi.
Just not like your pcitured it.
;)
But (had I been there) I'd still love you (but I wasn't)...
Hopefully they didn't get the sushi out of a vending machine. :)
ew. yucky. the combination of takeout sushi, warm van and stevie nicks crooning landslide made me a little queasy.
Thanks for the tip. I almost bought those dill flavored sunflower seeds today.
Our chinese new year celebrating consisted of me buying a huge bag of fortune cookies. I am happy to know that my four year old's lover will never want to leave him. I didn't even know he had a girlfriend!
"I'll sell you my pickle for a nickel!"
"How about two cents?"
NAME THAT MOVIE!
I've got an award for you...
Nancy..Is it Little Rascals?
When your kids ask for sushi..just say NO, and make them eat candy like the rest of the kids!!
I love your new header!
#1 Anything Dill is just sickening and #2 my husband would eat sushi "near or far, he would eat it in a car, he would eat it with a goat, he would eat it in a boat..." yucka!
I gave you an award.
Enjoy.
I saw teriyaki flavored potato chips at Wal-Mart yesterday. All I could think about was how those wily diversity training people must have gotten to the folks over at Lay's. We can expect sauerkraut flavored chips soon.
I didn't know you were a sunflower seed afectionado. How do you feel about the barbecue flavored seeds?
My kids wanted the teriyaki chips, but they were vetoed.
I've never had sushi. I don't think I ever will. ick.
My husband would love dill pickle sunflower seeds. He actually will drink the "juice" left over in the jar after the dill pickles are gone. (yuck!) He also loves sushi.
Hmmm....perhaps there's a connection between those two things and him being sick.
Thanks, by the way, for the e-mail. I appreciate it more than you know.
"Hi!"
Doesn't the name of the sunflower seeds say it all? Spitz!
Sushi = ewwwwww!!!
I got carsick just reading about #2. eww.
Thanks for the heads up... we'll make a mental note not to try either of those scenarios. You are a brave woman, indeed. :)
Uhm.....yuck?
I can't imagine eating suishi in a moving car--especially a warm moving car??? I've never seen dill pickle sunflower seeds--now the chips, yes. But, have you ever tried ketchup chips--it's a big thing here ; )
Dill pickle chips is Canadas gift to the universe, someone was just trying to build on a good thing.
P.S. If you don't recall, we have met once or twice...I even fed you roast beef...not that I'm jealous...
K, just found your site through your sisters who I found through someone else....I LOL at this entry. Funny stuff.
Hi Carrot.
Just catching up. Glad to see you're as clever as ever! And thanks for the tip. You're always so helpful.
Um, sushi is from Japan.
I like it. But not from the backseat of a van I don't think.
Dill pickle Sunflower seeds? What is the world coming to? But I think I might need to buy a package to send to my motherinlaw just for fun. She went through a long and painful pickeling phase when Tom and I first got married. I think she was trying to get rid of me.
Well, you've just named three things that I reckon would never end up on my shopping list.
From the comments above you are raking it in. I have some bloggy bling for ya'll, as well.
Hopefully you're not still dealing with seasickness.
I LOVE your background.
Happy Valentine's Day!
I have actually tried the "spitz", and they have magnificent powers to impart wakefulness on long road trips. FYI!
