I could have danced all night...

So. I got my teeth fixed.
Here's the before...

Annnd, the after?

Yeah, I water colored it. Got a problem with that? I know how you like to click on my pictures and enlarge them. Do you really think I would let you get up close and personal with my skin, and hairy face?
Uh...no.
Never.
I do trust you enough to show you how bad my eyebrows look right now.
So have a long look.
Go ahead.
Mock, laugh, whatever.
I had a great time down at my sister Trixies house.
We rode the train down to Portland, and she picked me up and drove me four hours in the snow down to her house.
Nicholas liked it.
Trixie brought him snow pants, gloves, and boots, so when she hit the chain up area, he got all dressed and played in the snow.

Dude, I got that coat at Value Village for $6.99. THAT'S how much I love that place.
Anyhoo, everyone at that dental office was SO nice!
Dr. Edward Clark is his name, in case you're ever in Redmond and need your teeth fixed.
The first day I had an exam and partial cleaning.
I guess after going 6 years without having your teeth cleaned, it takes more than one day.
So Dr. Clark sits down and tells me he can fix the space, and then he starts looking at my other teeth and telling me what he's going to do.
I'm thinking, "Crap! He's looking at my other teeth, and I don't have dental insurance!"
So I say, "I actually just need my front teeth fixed."
He tells me that I have some broken fillings, and my crown is all yucky underneath, and then says "Your sister has referred a ton of clients to me, and I like your family, so I would like to do all your work for you for free.
*silence*
Only because I start tearing up.
I could only nod.
I'm such a bawl baby.
I'm so glad I have sisters.
If you don't have any, I highly recommend going out and getting yourself some.
So, I'll be going down to Trixie's house more often than not.
We'll get to feed horses,

and watch Dora The Explorer with Trixie's dog,

Nicholas says it's a girl show.
Well her dog IS a girl.
Don't tell anyone, but that dog likes me best. That dog doesn't want anyone to pay attention to my baby either.
She's the queen of the castle, and he's the dirty rascal.
We had fun, and I had the most comfortable bed to sleep on.
You wanted to know that, right?
Uh oh, I've got diarrhea of the mouth.
Sorry.
But wait!
There's more!
On the way home, we met Millie and No Cool Story at the mall for lunch. How fun was that girls?
I'm starting to think that they like me.
My boys were really good on the train both ways. I think I can safely say, we did not disturb anyone.
Thank Heaven for pacifiers. That's all I've got to say.
No really, I don't have anymore to say.
"Wait! Carrot! What's that black spot on your glasses?"
Oh, I don't know!
Honestly, I thought you could look past that.
I guess we're not there yet.
You and I will have to work on this relationship.

I have never seen my dog watch TV before, that's so funny, glad you got a picture of her. Love the picture of your beautiful face, beautiful dimples and beeeuuuutifulll teeth. Can I say I'm glad you have yuck under your crown so you have to come here again, and still seem like a nice sister?

I hope we can make it a regular lunch date with Millie and No Cool Story on every return trip home. Meeting great people is one of the perks of being Carrot's sister.

Hey everyone, you should get a sister named Carrot, it's great! :^)

You look gorgeous, dahling. You do have the most amazing dimples.

And we like you! We really like you! :)

Next time, we should order one of everything at the food court, and four forks. Then we'll go out for BROWNIES. *evil giggling*

I was jealous when I heard you had lunch with Millie and NCS...just two hours from me!
Free dental work...what a blessing! Definitely one for the journals.

I am impressed. You finally posted a picture of yourself, even though you watercolored it. Such a pretty smile--with those dimples. ;-)

You do make me laugh. (I do have a sister--but never get to see her anymore cuz of the 15 hour distance between us. Maybe I should get another one?)

Lookin' good as new!
Man, that dentist is something else. Good guy!
--Maybe he has a guilt complex about how much money he makes, and feels the best thing to do on a cosmic level is to help people who need help every now and then. (Can you tell I'm bitter about having to pay 800$ after insurance on a crown I had done recently? ;) )
Glad you got to see the gals.

That is so awesome that he is doing all the work for free! You are one blessed girl!
And I have one sister, but I think I'd like a couple more... any ideas where to get those?? My mom has informed me that she will not be helping in this area...and since she'll be 52 in Feb... I'll cut her some slack... after I'm done pouting.

1. You look GREAT!
2. I didn't even notice your eyebrows or the black spot. I was looking at your teeth!
3. That coat for $7?? What a deal!
4. That dog is hilarious.
5. Lunch with friends is the best!
6. Kids who travel well is also the best!

I like that dog, Trixie. She watches TV. Your teeth look amazing. That dentist is a great guy. I find it refreshing that he shares his blessings. Yes sisters do rock! I was so excited to get married and gain more sisters. Yeah, well that didn't happen. Would you like to be my sister? Oh wait, you are sister Carrot Jello! We ARE sisters. Yay for me.

You look familiar. Maybe we should communicate via email (mine's on my blog) to see if we can figure this out. If you're game.

Sisters do kick ace. So do kindhearted dentists. Love them. And the Dora-watching dog. And watercolor friends with new, pretty teeth.

I didn't see the eyebrows or black spot cause I got hung up on the dimples. I so want to put my finger in one---in a totally non psychotic and non-gay way

don't be scared

I don't have any sisters. :( Will you take pity on me and be my honorary big sister? And I don't mean "big" in the size way because well, I mean, just look at me. You can be my big sister (age) and I can be your bigger sister (size)!

And we could never be like that song "Thats What Friends Are for" because I couldn't possibly be by your side forever more because we'd never be able to get through the door if we were side-by side all the time.

elasticwaistbandlady said...

I didn't get to see your picture at all. Sad.

elasticwaistbandlady said...

Jean Knee scared me. I won't let her know about my dimples. I'm practically within poking distance of her.

i missed it completely... even the watercolored one. sigh

i'm glad you had a fantastic trip and that you have a great sister whose dentist clearly adores her.

WONDERFUL!!!!

(And how soon do I have to get here so I can actually SEE the pictures? I feel like you're playing that game with me my stupid brothers would play: "Give me five...oops! Too slow!" Dorky, dumb brothers.)

I'm extremely happy with your state of dental bliss.
