I get mail from A.A.R.P.

I guess it's never too early to be old.
Last night I heard this from my daughter,
"...then I forget I have to do chores..."
Really?
You've had daily chores for at least 8-10 years now.
You forget?
Maybe I should sign her up too.
We could join a shuffle board team.
I could ask my other daughter if she wants to join up too.
You know, just in case my hip goes out or something.

My kids seem to forget they have chores regularly too!
People are always saying kids grow up fast these days, but maybe they just get senile fast...

Hee, hee!

I "tested" my just-turned-nine-year-old's hearing last week. He didn't come when I called him a few times, and I thought I should send him to a retirement center.

Then I said in a normal voice, "Hey Lion, do you want ice cream?"

He blasted out of that room so fast I was surprised it was still standing.

I was a meany. We didn't have ice cream. :D

Loved your daughters' blogs. Thanks for sharing. But are you sure "let the sunshine in" daughter is actually yours? Just wondering.

Well, I got a letter from the FFA and I was all excited thinking that at last the Future Farmers of America were finally going to let me into their esteemed ranks.

Turned out it was the Future FUPAS (Fat Upper Pelvic Area) of America and they were contacting me to let me know that I was a long-time member in good standing and that they were going to nominate me as FUPA Queen at the annual FFA Ball. :(

"I'm not that old.....quit A.A.R.P-ing on me already."

Old seals say "A.A.R.P, A.A.R.P., A.A.R.P" when clamoring for more fish.

Neil Young sings "Keep On A.A.R.P-ing in the free world!"
