It's the most wonderful time of the year!

With the kids trick or treating
And everyone one eating
Doughnuts in faaaaaalll!
It's the most wonderful time of the year!

...Uh, let me help you out.
Here's the tune. Start at :34 and end at 1:00.
Wasn't that fun?
I think you were singing to the tune of Jingle Bells.
Either that, or you are tone deaf, and if that's the case...
sorry about that.

"Carrot, it's not fall yet..."
It is for me, my friend.
Fall starts in my head on September 1st and goes until Thanksgiving weekend.

So we were talking about Fall, and Halloween tonight.
Of course, the subject of costumes came up.

Daughter #2: How about I dress up as a door, and when people come up and ask me why I am a door I could say, "Well, people keep saying I make a better door than a window..."
Daughter #1: Or you could say you're a door because windows cause pane.

Bah duh dum.

Seriously though, I'm trying to figure out what I can make out of duct tape this year.
I've done Iron Chef and A box of raisins.
Now what?

Fall is my favorite too.

I like Suzanne's idea for a costume.

You could make some sweet armour out of silver duct tape...
You should google Duct tape Halloween costumes and look at all the images that come up. There are some seriously complicated costumes!
I have heard they make plaid duct tape now...think of the possibilities!

I heart fall. I wish I lived in a place where we had a real fall. I miss it every. single. year.

I don't know you at all except by reading your blog, but reading your daughters' conversation I'm guess that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree where their sense of humor is concerned!

you could make a wallet out of duct tape...but hmmm...a costume. I know a girl who made a dress out of zebra print duct tape! Good luck with that!

You crack me up, Carrot! My niece had a friend who went to their senior prom in a duct tape tuxedo. Seriously. He made a tux out of the stuff.

Happy fall, ya'll!!!

Lauren has decided to make herself a into a real estate sign and feature a banner across the front that says "I'm Beautiful Inside." Like THIS one.

I'm going to be Dorkahontas. Naturally. I already got toilet paper affixed to some moccasins, a pocket protector on my squaw dress and an amazing likeness of a doll that could have been fathered by both Bill Gates and Stephen Hawking for my papoose.

I just need Papi to be my Big Chief Little Nerd or something like that.

Next year I'm coming to Seattle and we're going trick-or-treating together.

We're going to Knights In White Satin.......on a stick horsey.

That should have read "American Indian Nerds Have Their Own Reservation And It Looks Like The Death Star."

I feel like blogger is championing awkward tribal people by censoring me.
