Oh the things I think!

I'm wondering what my old lady hairstyle is going to be.
Will I just fall into it,
or is this something you plan out in advance?

lol, i think you fall into it... most "old lady styles" i see are really just 30 year old hairstyles. that is, a hairstyle they've had for thirty years, not for a 30 year old.

My hairstyle has been the same for years and it will probably look just like it does today--after all I'm ALREADY an old lady ; )

Oh, I'm totally planning mine. Have been for years. You haven't??

I am already so there! How do I look? Except the blue, I am going to add the blue soon.

Funny you mention that. I was thinking the exact same thing while sitting behind an old lady at church yesterday. I think I am going to make sure I have blond until I die...no gray for me! And I think I am going to keep it chin length.

I've pondered the same thing many a time, and am still at a loss. I really like my curly hair, but I don't want to do the whole permed football helmet thing.

It's difficult though I would like to keep a little length...between the shoulders and chin, but honestly, it usually doesn't look that good on older women...

I think we need to institute some sort of style guide for this one.

I think about this, too, because I see old ladies with their hair curled and teased. And I'm so not going to do that. I'm going to wear a bun instead.

I did wonder if my hair will be okay when I get old or if I will have to change it?

funny you mention that.

One of my university friends and I decided that we would be the grandmas with long grey hair worn in a bun . . . I'm still holding onto that idea.

Had the EXACT same thought today.
I was digging this elderly woman's hair, she had curls on the sides of her temples, you know, just above her ears. I had to look close because they were so perfect, I thought there were still curlers in her hair. There were no curlers in her hair, but her hair was remarkable. I think I'm gonna head in that direction. Soon, maybe.

I get that thought frequently as I pull out massive grey, wirey hairs from my head. I finally have to stop before I'm bald though.

I have a feeling that my "Old lady" hair will be nothing like the "do" I have now. I'm telling you my grey stand straight off from my head:(

Im only 22 and I think about that too! :)

I should hope that I can sort of plan it beforehand...my hair is much to frizzy for me to just fall into it! :)

Let's see, I'm envisioning something with layers, yes, definitely layers.

By the way did you know this post has a theme song? It does. It's from A Suessical.

You're welcome.

The temple is an excellent place for (among other things) old-lady-hairstyle shopping.

I'm thinking a nice pageboy bob for me, something I can still tuck behind my ear. I can't do the short and curly football helmet thing.

I've always fancied the blue rinse myself. The lavendar one is a little over the top for my taste.

My doctor husband has noticed a trend in old, palsied ladies. They are getting their make-up tattooed on their faces so the eyeliner and lipstick are on straight. I'm thinking I'll go that route too, blue hair and tattooed face. I think I use lots of hairspray too. Hmmm, I have a lot to look forward to.

dont worry, it just comes with the words "Shampoo set". you just say it and voila! you have aged gracefully to an old lady in just 20 minutes and a can of aqua net.... for the elderly punk rocker the purple hair rince is a must.

My hair is going to fall out, and then I am going to get a variety of interesting hats...maybe some turbans...and I'm going to call everyone Daaaahlink...
