She really is a genius, I swear.

Daughter #1: I started to read this book I found in the basement.

Moi: Uh hmm

Daughter #1: It's all about the history of physics...

Moi: Oh yeah?

Daughter #1: Yeah, and this guys name (pointing to the cover)

Daughter #1: Is Wayne Newton

Moi: *Silence* (look at daughters face to see if she is joking. She isn't)

Moi: Uh, I think you mean Sir Isaac Newton.

Daughter: Oh, I think you're right.

Last night...
Husband: Who knows who lives at the Vatican?

Daughter #1: BATMAN!

Moi: *Silence* (look at daughters face to see if she is joking. She isn't)

Moi: No, The Pope. Head of the Catholic church? Seriously? Batman?

I was totally agreeing with Daughter #1's Wayne Newton and thinking, "she is smart!" But then lucky for me and her you corrected us both. Yeah so I really don't know the difference between Wayne and Sir Isaac Newton.

I know the difference between Freud and Erikson, though:P

Are you sure Batman doesn't live at the Vatican. AFter all it is old enough- hee hee hee hee hee.

I was stumped on the Vatican too. I totally couldn't remember what it was. Oops.

Ooooooohhh, The Vatican. So thats where the secret Bat Cave is. Way to give away top secret info. carro jello and daughter!

Well, you have to admit, they both have some crazy costumes. I'm saying a silent prayer of thanks that the Pop doesn't wear a codpiece.

The Pope wears a dress. How does Elastic KNOW he doesn't wear a codpiece?

This explains why I always call Batman "Your holiness" and kiss his Bat ring.

Maybe it's time to start homeschooling.

If Batman lived in Vatican City I'll bet more kids would want to go with their parents to see the Pope. Blessed rosary beads for the grown ups and blessed Bat ears for the kids!

As for cod pieces, I hope you daughter doesn't know what that is, sometimes ignorance is bliss!

I thought you were going to say that she found a book with Fabio on the cover.

Wayne Newton, huh? Maybe she was watching Dancing With The Stars and she just couldn't get that handsome man out of her head.

sadly ... as I read Wayne Newton, nothing clicked here either ...

Hee hee, "Fabio on the cover." Like Carrot would dirty her mind with that SMUT.

Although I did just see her say "mushrooms be damned" over on Nobody's blog. Maybe Carrot has a bigger naughty streak than she lets on.

First clue that she really is a genius: She picks up random books in the basement to read, and keeps reading even though it's about Sir Isaac Newton.

And even if batman doesn't live in the Vatican, she was the first to offer an answer.

Good blog fodder, I love it!

LOL! :)
I bet there are bats somewhere NEAR the Vatican. I see them around my house.

I gave you an award on my blog today. :)

Your daughter is very funny.

b. is funny, too. Batican. Hahahahaha.

I love that you waited and looked at her face to see if she was serious.

At least she was half right..she knew it was a Newton.

Off topic but have you ever noticed that a lot of really smart people lack common sense? Maybe Wayne Newton is one of them.

All of this talk about cod pieces is making me blush.

Totally agree that she must be a genius because she is excited about reading this book she found in the basement that is all about physics! :)

She sounds like a chip off the old block. Unfortunately that makes you a block head, and now you are a damaged block after giving up 5 chips. Call me sometime.

I don't mean to freak you out or anything, but she sounds a lot like me at that age.

Wayne Newton = Dankay shaine while a girl sings (that's no man singing i'll have you know).

"Quick Robin, to the Vatican!". Nah, it sounds weird.

Obviously you are smarter than a 5th grader... and a 7th grader, and I forget how old she is now, but also smarter than her teachers!

Do you have time to homeschool? I can think of a bunch of other kids that need your help too.

Wayne Newton must know a story of physics to get his hair to look like it does! LOL! :D

Brillant. Why didn't I come up with that?!

I'd love to keep reading, but Johnny just wiped his ice cream cone on the couch cushion, and I'll have to clean it fast before my husband gets home.

I can't believe a kid that age is excited about Physics. Wow!

Headpiece? Codpiece? There's only two/three letter's difference....

Physcokity said...

Batican hahaha
I have to admit though when you said she found a book in the basement I was waiting for some fabio-esquely smutty version of a history of physics...

How did they come up with the name codpiece for the codpiece?
