Hey there...

Do you ever feel like you can't possibly make one more dinner?
Yeah?
Me too.
Do you think about people during the day, and want to call them, but are sure they don't want to be bothered by you?
Yeah?
Me too.
Do you ever find yourself going out to your van with your kids, and proclaiming loudly, "Miss Scarlett, I don't know nothin' 'bout birthin' no babies!" in your best "Prissy" voice, only to look across the street and realize your neighbor is out getting his mail, and probably thinks your crazy?
Yeah?
Me too.
Ever leave the house singing, "You Picked A Fine Time To Leave Me, Lucille" only to glance up after locking the door and realize your other neighbor is 100 feet away walking down the sidewalk, but you don't want to stop singing mid-song, so you keep singing? All the while realizing that he too probably thinks your crazy?
Yeah?
Me too.
Do you ever worry about your bad grammar, but not enough to go back and proofread?
Yeah?
Me too.
It's scary how much you and I are alike.
It's almost as if we have some sort of psychic connection.
That must be why I like you so much.

I've never sung in front of my neighbors....but now I want to.

Yeah, I think we are twins.

Except, I bet you don't sing, "With 400 children and a crop in the field..."
Because while you may be a crazy singing lady amongst the neighbors---you ain't stupid.

Looks you have found your 'multiple' twins with this post. Shall we all sing together? Ready......one a two a one two three four.......

We're eerily similar. Except I sing showtunes and when I get caught out I'm secretly pleased because I like being weird and like for people to know it.

Yup. I need help alright.

I'm tired of cooking.
I'm sure nobody wants to talk to ME.
My neighbors think I'm crazy.
I sing in public to annoy my children.
What grammar what punctation.
Also, correct spelling is overrated.
I have way better things to do than proofread.
You're right. It's a psychic connection.

I can agree on most of those... except the proofreading. I admit to being a tad on the OCD side when it comes to my blog posts... I read and re-read to make sure it's just right.
I like the new blog header :)

My neighbors think I'm weird and that I'm on my way to being the crazy cat lady. Whatever... they're weird for going out to eat twice a day and never ever cooking. How strange is that?

Stacey said...

My neighbors already know that I am weird, singing would be the icing on the cake.

Yeah, me too. Except I sing the Kenny Rogers version: What did Kenny Rogers sing when his bike tire fell off at the top of a hill? "You picked a fine time to leave me, Loose Wheel!!!!"

My neighbor is My sister. She'd join in singing!

I like you too.

You have the coolest pictures, Carrot. Coolest.

I can just hear your neighbors now. They ae talking in that soft woman voice that Jim Gaffigan does.

"Do you know that neighborlady? She calls herself, Carrot. Who in the world would name themself after a vegetable? It's just so strange."

i thought i was the only one who hated cooking dinners. and i only have to cook for 4 people. i know. what am i complaining about. but, i still hate it.

OH, just don't make me cook another meal. . don't do it! The bad grammar etc. thing is right up my alley! Don't care, nope!

I embarrass myself (and those with me) frequently when I break out into some wacky song & don't realize somebody is listening. One time I lived next door to my Relief Society Pres. & I went out the door completely cussing at my kids when I realized she was outside and taking it all in. I quickly added "You little darlings" to my cuss words to make it all better. Not sure it worked!

My neighbors are weirder than that. My singing would be a blessing to the neighborhood and I would be singing a Monkees tune like 'last train to Clarksville'. I have 9 weiner dogs and some of the things I say to them could easily be misconstrued. Ah, but worry not....No one in this neighborhood could afford the gas money to take me to the nearest mental facility and there would be the question of how many would be able to walk back out after the registration.....Perhaps there is some connection?

Do you ever sing inappropriate songs while leaving Cici's Pizza Buffet on a Friday night?

Because I did!

I feel the love!!

Never stop singing mid-song my friend. Let your light shine :)

Oh yeah, and I like your new hairdo.

Oh, honey; that's what Jack in the Box is for. Cheap, filling and I don't have to make it.

My favorite freak-out-the-neighbors song is the Mister Rogers song--so they know I'm singing just for THEM.

I gotta say: you're funny! I've been reading your comments on NCS's blog for a while, then lurked a bit to check out your retro hipness, and now I'm feeling brave enough to leave a comment.

Hey, I read your comment at Creative Savers and wanted to let you know, I'm sticking $20 in my account next week (as soon as I can sneak away without my family missing me).

If only you could roll around on a $20 bill. I guess you could, but it wouldn't be that satisfying.

P.S. Maybe I'll throw all my new bank paperwork on my bed and roll around on it instead.

I keep wanting to finish your title with "Georgy Girl."

Ah the dinner one. I feel that way every day. I enjoy cooking because I enjoy eating, but really, most of the time, I just want to say NO! I am tired of cooking dinner for ungrateful people!

I KNEW I HEARD SOMEONE SINGING OVER THERE!

i just thought I was going insane

I sing ridiculous songs anywhere and any time, and I don't care who hears me!

That must be why I like you so much.

LOL, yes to almost all of the above (except for the scarlet refernce... for me it would be My Fair Lady or maybe My big fat greek wedding)
