hi there.

I decided something tonight.
It's 11:00, and I just got back from the grocery store.
While I was there standing in line, half bagging my groceries, two girls got in line behind me.
One was buying ice cream, and the other (the one closest to me) was on her cell phone, not paying attention.
I got done bagging my groceries (who knew the baggers went home at 10:30?), and I stepped back to the counter to pay for my groceries.
This gal, on her cell phone was all up in my business.
So close, in fact, that her friend said, "Destiny, you need to back yo'self up! You're all up in her face!"
She didn't hear a word.
So...I put my arm around her and said to her friend, "That's o.K., we're old friends!"
Where upon her friend stopped talking on her cell phone, looked at me, and said "Huh?"
So, my friends, if you decide you'd rather not pay attention to boundaries, I'm just going to put my arm around you.
Don't complain.
You made me do it.

I want to make you put yo' arm around me.
I WANT TO.

Brilliant!
I just dislike the ones who get too close in their cars. It would be harder to hug them... but not impossible I guess.

It's too bad you weren't whistling.

I don't know why, it just seems appropriate. :)

You're such a huggy girl, I would love your arm around me.

Oh Carrot, you are HILARIOUS. I wish I could have seen that. What a perfect response.

Laughing at Millie too---that would have been a slam dunk Carrot night if you could have thrown in whistling.

That's awesome!! You are one funny girl! :D
If I get all up in yo face, will you hug me too?

How funny! How did she react? You're so brave.

The only other thing I could think of would be to do the "hustle bump", but that could start a fight.

how lucky that desiny girl was to get a hug from carrot. she doesn't know HOW lucky. not everyone gets a carrot hug. only special people. like me, of course. in fact. i've had two carrot hugs in my lifetime. that's gotta be worth something.

oh my gosh... that is hilarious! her answer... "huh?" ROFL! So not only was she rude in public, but she was rude to her friend, whom she was with, and didn't hear a danged word she said.

Good Job! I want more people like you in the world.
Yesterday, I was at the post office and I had the impulse to whistle. I caught myself wondering if the guy in front of me would mind, and then I thought of you. And then I went ahead and whistled a quiet little tune. :)

Do you get the feeling there is a sitcom somewhere in this post with very little writing needed to bring it out (and let's face it that's what sitcom writers do best, little writing). I say you stop horsing around with the real life business and go Hollywood girl.

LOL, I would pay money to have seen this.

Treat others as you your self desire to be treated.
She was so rude. Hopefully, she learned a lesson in manners.
Cell Phones are my pet peeves.

I like your style! She will never forget that encounter. Probably the first person to be nice to her in her, what would you call it, ignorance.

Classy style Carrot, classy style.

That is my least favorite thing. It happens all the time to me at Wal-mart, cuz you know, they make you take your bags off the turn-table and put them in your cart. I find it's usually the little old ladies who don't know that you're not done paying. But that is a good idea. I might start doing that! :)

Hahaha,that is great!

You gotta love when people are all up in yo' bidness.

That's AWESOME!

But considering some of the customers at my local Fry's Supermarket, if I were to try that tactic, I might end up with a knife between the ribs.

I never go there alone after dark! :0

I'm so impressed that you did your grocery shopping that late! I get lazy after about 9 p.m. and give up. Looks like Ramen for Sunday dinner again!! And what are they thinking sending the baggers home early? Is it past their 16 year old bedtime?

Thanks for the great dream info! I swear I can relate to several of those things!! Explains a LOT!
