Homegrown

My children have been raised with made up words.
For instance, my daughter asked her friends,
"What does gompachoompa even mean?"
and my other daughter told her friends,
"Hurry! You know, like...gompachoompa?"
Because their mother always says,
"Hurry, hurry, gompachoompa!"
When she needs her kids to move fast.
"I said "freakanachas" out loud today. People looked at me strange. I don't even know what that means. I just know you say it when you get hurt, or something bad happens."
"We were raised on made up words. All this time, we thought they were real words..." my daughter said on the way home tonight.
"Is Fahrvergnügen Swedish? Because you always say that too."
"It's German, and it is a real word."
What it means, I don't know.
I think it means car.
But when I use it, it means "I have no idea."
