This is the post that never ends

It just goes on and on my friends...
After The Grill N Chill, we decided to head over to Target. Some of us needed pajamas, and others needed spray starch.
Spray Starch?
Yes, spray starch. Don't tell me you don't iron on vacation.
I decided, to speed things up, that I would break off on my own and go get my starch. I thought all Targets were pretty much set up the same way.
They're not.
I wandered around for a while, until I found the starch, grabbed it, and went back up front to buy my stuff. I didn't see any of the gals in the group, so I went ahead and bought my things, then circled around Target to find them.
I got 3/4 of the way around Target when I started thinking, "Would they leave me at Target? Am I that insignificant that they would just leave, and not know I was with them?" How hard was it to find 9 women in Target?
Let me tell you, it ain't (sorry Nobody) easy.
Finally I met up with Annie, and tagged behind her. I knew they wouldn't leave her. She was the driver. She had the keys. If anyone was leaving, it was me, with the Annie.
All of the sudden, everyone appeared up front.
(Did I mention I bought big Pen1s for everyone? Some got it, and some didn't have any idea why I was giving them big pen1s.)
After everyone bought their stuff, we went back to the hotel and spent the night talking, taking picutres, and trying out different beds.
I finally picked a big old room with a king bed, and a jacuzzi tub. No, I didn't hog it all to myself. I got Elastic to share it with me.
Not the tub, the bed.
We went to sleep.
Around 1:30 in the morning, Elastic stands up, turns on the light, and looks around. I ask, "What's the matter?" No answer. She turns off the light, and goes back to sleep. Approximately one hour later, I hear music. I can't figure out where it's coming from, and it woke up Elastic.
"Where't that music coming from?" I ask
"I think it's my cell phone." says Elastic.
It was her husband. He just thought he'd call her on his way to work and see how everything was.
It was fine.
We were sleeping.
She get's off the phone, and immediately goes back to sleep.
I'm laying there thinking, "Did she really go to sleep that fast? I've got a sore throat. My nose is stuffed up. I wonder if these are feather pillows. Maybe this duvet is feather..."
I get up.
Call the front desk.
"Is any of your bedding feather?"
"No."
"Okay, thanks."
"Hmmm" I think to myself. "I wonder if it's the cold air." I wander out of our room, and into the next, feeling the wall for the heat/air box. That's when I noticed a light coming from under Millies door.
"I wonder if Millie is watching a movie"
I listen. Then I think. (Oh yes, I think at 2:45 in the a.m., don't you?)
"She probably fell asleep with the t.v. on."
I flipped on the light, and sat down on the couch, thinking now would be a good time to read "New Moon". That is, until I spotted a People Magazine with Britney Spears on the cover. Now, who doesn't like a bit o' trash to read in the middle of the night? I read until I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer, which was about- oh, I'd say 20 minutes, and I fell asleep on the couch.
6 a.m., the door of our room flings open, and Elastic says "What's the matter? Was I snoring?"
And so the day began. At 6 a.m.
Wasn't this vacation?
Aren't you supposed to sleep in on vacation?

It was fun, and then once we got inside, the lights went out. whoooooooooo

I was watching Jerry Maguire, the non-rated-R version. Too bad you didn't poke your nose in. I'm a deep sleeper.

I remembered the power outage. It's because all us awesome women sucked all the energy out. Or something like that. That doesn't sound as clever as I thought it would.
Oh well.
I got the big pen1s, I just forgot to mention it. That was one of my fave posts of yours. I think I started reading your religiously around that time.
Yes- your big pen1s drew me in forever.

Ah yes, the sort of vacation that has you needing a vacation at the end to recover from said vacation.

Or something like that. Leave me alone, I'm tired. =P

Still loving it!

I have the hardest time sleeping somewhere besides my own bed. I hate laying there and wondering when sleep is going to finally happen!

I could use a big pen1s.
Isn't Boulder where Mork and Mindy lived?

I got a big pen1s too! Wait, that sounds kind of bad... LOL! :D I had no idea that you got up in the night, Carrot! Either I must have been out cold or you were way quiet! :)

I keep dreaming of all the bloggy women every night.

Last night I woke up Papi because I was making a whiny noise. He asked me what I was dreaming about and it was of NCS and Annie and how we went to a store that sold Golden Turkey flavored cotton candy and Carrot flavored cotton candy. No, I don't think it tasted like you. But I can't be sure because.....Oh, this is going no place good. It was Carrot as in the Veggie Tales kind. Aight? There was also a movie theater showing Infidel 1, Infidel 2, and Infidel 3. I know. A whole Infidel Movie Trilogy. Weird.

oh i love this version of your trip best. i loved my pen1s. i was gonna say "thanks for my pen1s, carrot." in the cheesecake factory, but was afraid someone would have heard me shouting it to the other end of the table. and get the wrong idea.

what an exciting first night for you. whenever i'm with friends for a weekend, sleep never, ever happens. it's just how it is. i'm surprised you all went to bed so early.
