When candy goes bad.

Golly gee. These were on clearance.
I wonder why. I bet I know who got hired to come up with this. Yes, that's right. Michael Chiarello.
Sure, he looks nice, but down deep he's got a heart of coal and a soul of evil.
Who messes with peanut butter cups? Only Michael Chiarello. Don't believe me? Go read my November 1, 2006 post. Yes, right around this time last year. Coincidence? I think not.

why not just leave Reese's peanut butter cups alone, they are perfect the way they are. I won't ever try that candy I don't like peanut butter and bananas. I guess its an acuired taste.

EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

That is just nasty. I hate banana-flavored stuff.

Maybe people will buy it anyway because 50 million Elvis fans can't be wrong.

My grandma used to make me Banana and PB sandwiches. So, I do like them every now and then:)

That is gross though! I agree, DON'T mess with Reese's Peanut butter cups.

EW. I have tried all of the variations of this Reese's Peanut Butter Cup (except this recent bag of barf, I've never come across it), and none of them even come close to being as good as the original.blech.

Peanut Butter Cups are second only to Peanut Butter Eggs--which I believe come in the shape of pumpkins this time of year.

As for all those responses, I salute you!

I accidently bought one of these at 7-11. I bit into it and I was confused. YOu know when you mouth is expecting one thing and then it's totally not it. Eew. Eew and eew.

No wonder Elvis died so young if he was eating garbage like that. Peanut butter cups will extend your life, but bananas and peanut butter is toxic! Actually chocolate with any fruit (with the exception of fresh strawberries) is toxic.
Ah...the song. We sang it in 6th grade choir.

Don't trust chocolate on clearance Carrot! It's Eeeevil.
Quick SHUUUUNNNN IT!
SSSSSHHHHUUUUUNNNNNN!

Well I am not surprised it was on clearance. EWWWW.. that is just so wrong. Peanut butter, chocolate and banana??? Chocolate covered banana ok, but not great... adding peanut butter is just nauseating.

Suzanne said...

But you'll eat it as long as there is no fruit mixed into the chocolate, right? Right? :D

Suzanne said...

O.k. I'm a dork. I just saw that it has bananas in it! Ooh, get it out quickly, Carrot, before you're tainted forever! :D

yeah...have you tasted them? Sick-o...I was at my local grocer, when to my surprise they were offering the minatures, and a small Dr. Pepper as promotion. I didn't even look to see what sort they were...I figured regular....I quickly grabbed 4 of them, and headed out to the awaiting Vinnie...handed one to mister, popped one in my mouth and GAG! It is just not right....only a small fraction of fruits belong with chocolate....and NONE of them belong with peanut butter unless it is a sammmich....that is it!

That's just wrong. On so many levels...
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!

Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Who messed with my P.B. cups?? I spit on them! *ptooey*

Kate said...

The only thing they've recently done with Reese's pb cups that's even remotely good is the fact that they offer dark chocolate now (I can't eat milk chocolate generally) . . . but BANANA????? Gimme a break . . .

Amanda said...

That is gross! Banana and candy do not go together!!

Randi said...

(can't type... gagging....)
banana + anything = Ewwww.

Why can't they ever clearance the milk chocolate Dove bars?

Scrub your tongue carrot. Quick!

Jean Knee said...

you could give them out to trick or treaters you don't like.
or put them at the top of the candy jar covering up the good stuff underneath

or throw them away

Klin said...

True Elvis fans are NOT buying that crap.

"Ain't nothing like the real thing baaaaby." That would be thinly sliced bananas on a PB sammich, not some funky version of my fav candy.

I'm with the those above- DON'T mess with R33se's PB cups.

I ate two frozen Reese's PB Cups today. There is no need to mess with them. WHYYY Michael.....WHHYYYY!!!??

I'll have to admit I kind of like the caramel ones, but I completely draw the line at banana creme.

This is a CRIME! PB cups rule and not the banana kind!

Ditto, ditto, ditto, ditto.....I can see why they were on clearance!

I was just telling my other friend Michelle about calling you "Carrot." I think she thought I was weird, but secretly she was jealous that she doesn't have a vegetative nickname too.

P.S. That candy is still really grossing me out. Can you post a new picture? Pretty please? How about one of a nice movie star like Don Knotts?

doesn't sound good now, but if that little sweety was hiding in my pantry, I might tear into in on a bad day!

I saw them in the grocery store and thought that's gross. I don't get it did Elvis like bananas and peanut- butter or something?

Stacey said...

According to sources,Elvis loved fried p.b and banana sandwiches.

wynne said...

Hmm. I don't know. I'm not fond of banana-flavored treats. Yet, because it has chocolate on it, I would probably eat it if it were offered to me.

So, how was it? Or did you make Mr. Carrot Jello eat it?

Elizabeth-W said...

In theory it sounds okay. Banana splits (which I don't like) often have hot fudge, and nuts sprinkled on top. But it still seems like a good way to ruin perfectly good chocolate.
