I don't know about you, but....

something about this just seems, well...wrong, lol...

I was looking at Christmas candles on ebay, and came across this set. I wonder if there's a punishment in the next life for burning the nativity. Baby Jesus with a wick coming out of his stomach just seems really wrong. Maybe it's just me.

Yup . . . definitely wonky!

Yeah, very wrong... If I had them, they would have to be some candles I don't burn. I'd have to pull them out year after year and dust them off.

Was this advertised as the perfect gift for that hard to buy for muslim terrorist in the family? lol

Very strange! Would someone actually burn them? I hope not...

I've never understood the candle-as-decoration only thing. I need to spend more time on ebay to see all the stuff I could be spending money on.
Or maybe I should be learning how I could be making money selling odds and ends.

I love that Baby Jesus has a wick in his navel. Gross much?

Ew. Are you sure that wick is in the navel? Hm. Yup, it is. It's a little suspicious, however. A candle nativity is weird. Who would make one in the first place?

Yeah, they could have put it at the top of the manger, but they didn't. Even if you forget about the fact that it's a representation of Jesus, it's a BABY, and you don't burn babies. (They taught me that at parenting school.)

That is just weird :S I couldn't burn the nativity

The Spirit Of God......like a fire is burning. Ummm, taken quite literally in the candle nativity's case.

Hey, carrot, what a coincidence. I saw this post from you and thought, how awful to make the nativity into candles! Then I came home from work tonight and saw a catalog had come in the mail for candle molds. Yep. They're in the catalog. Egads.

Bethanny, I agree.
Purple, Welcome!
Kate, not sure what wonky means, but I think I agree, lol.
SweetPea, I have a hard time calling you that. If someone gave those candles to me, I might cut off the wicks...and then regift them ;)
Trixie, yes, that's what I was searching for. Gifts for my Muslim friends.
Mimo, So happy I finally got out from behind that firewall!
Lorie, I agree.
Suzanne, It takes a special kind of person to burn those, I suppose.
Elizabeth, I was actually searching for a yummy smelling candle. I have an angel food cake candle that's the best!
Millie, that's a great idea, lol.
Julie, I'm wondering what kind of person would want to make those candles too.
Omar, whew! At least you don't burn babies.
Kara, I couldn't either.
EWL, LOL!
Wendela, Please don't make those candles.
AP, All I can say is...ew.

Hello from Texas! I came across your blog over a decade ago when I was a young newlywed and I listed my own blog on "Mormon Moms Who Blog." I thought you were funny and enjoyed reading your random musings.

Then one day your blog went private, which I totally understand but missed reading nonetheless. Anyway, I came across your post from about a year ago that you had reopened your blog and found that people were reading it. You also mentioned that no one had commented. I don't know if the comments are turned off or what, but there is no option to comment on most of them.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello and encourage you to keep writing! :)
