I'm onto you!
I want to talk about someone. Let's call this person, oh I don't know, "Gemini". Yes, "Gemini". Let's say you're a blogger, happily blogging about something like...hmmm...toothpaste. You're thinking up all these great stories about toothpaste, and in your head you're thinking "Oh man, this will get some responses!" and you laugh at yourself. So you finish up your post, and log off. A few hours later, you excitedly log into your blog hoping someone has left a comment. You see "2 comments", and think, "Wow! Two comments already! They must have liked that post! Woohoo!" er, or whatever you say. So you start reading your comments, and the first one you read is by your friend "Nano". She tells you how funny your post is, and then shares a toothpaste story herself. You smile, and go to the next post. "oh!", you say. "A new person! Someone named Gemini! Wonder if he/she has a toothpaste story??" So you read "Gemini's" comment, and it goes a little something like this, " download free tunes (w/o a credit card) at:www.blahblahblah.biz" and you think to yourself- "Did I read that right? What does THAT have to do with toothpaste??" Then you start to get ticked off because you noticed that he/she has left his/her little mark on other blogs too. What is up with spamming? Do these people really think that if they leave these comments, that the blogger will actually visit their site, and download things?? Maybe some do it, but not me. I don't read those comments and think, "Oh, what a fabulous idea!". Not only do I not download music, but I don't like following strangers. If I need free music downloads, or anything else, I'll either google it, or I'll be sure and ask in my blog. "Gee, anywhere know where to get some free music without a credit card?" or "Wish I knew where to get some spoof pictures!" (like I can't google those either)
If I need your help, Gemini, don't call me, I'll call you
